Stripe + HubSpot

HubSpot raises the invoice, and Stripe takes the payment. Integration Fox sends HubSpot invoices to Stripe, adds a pay-online link to the original invoice, and updates HubSpot once the payment clears. Your sales team can see what's been paid without leaving the CRM.

How it works

One fully managed sync, set up by our engineers

Approved HubSpot invoices go to Stripe, the payment link comes back to the invoice before HubSpot sends it, and cleared payments update HubSpot — fully managed and monitored by our engineers.

Managed Integration

Fully Managed Sync

HubSpot invoices are sent to Stripe for online payment, and payment status is written back to HubSpot

FAQ

Common questions about this pairing

Do we need HubSpot Payments?

No. Invoices are paid through your existing Stripe account, so it works in regions where HubSpot Payments isn't available.

Can it sync to Companies instead of Contacts?

Yes. For B2B customers, Stripe customers can be mapped to HubSpot Companies instead — we set this up during implementation.

If a contact's details differ between HubSpot and Stripe, which wins?

HubSpot. It's the master for names, email, phone and address, and changes are written to Stripe.

Will customers get an email from Stripe as well?

No. HubSpot sends the invoice, with the Stripe payment link on it; Stripe's invoice emails are turned off.

Does the invoice number change?

No. The Stripe invoice uses the same number as the HubSpot invoice.

When is an invoice sent to Stripe?

When it's approved in HubSpot — by default, when its status changes to Open. We can agree a different trigger during scoping. Changes made after that aren't synced.

When does HubSpot show an invoice as paid?

Once the payment has cleared in Stripe. Card payments clear almost immediately; bank debits take a few days.

What happens if a payment fails or goes overdue?

The Stripe | Payment Status property updates in HubSpot, so a workflow can alert the deal owner or start a follow-up sequence.

What happens if an invoice is voided after it's sent?

The void carries across to Stripe, so the customer can't pay an invoice that's been cancelled.

Does it sync refunds or disputes?

Not as standard — if you need them automated, talk to us and we'll scope it.
